When you buy a subscription from Pipedrive, you’ll get started off with a default deal pipeline that works for most businesses and is easy to manage. However, there are many other features and services you can add and use in your Pipedrive CRM system, and I’ll explore all of them below.

Features

We’ll start off this section with Pipedrive’s leading tool – its sales software:

Sales Software: Pipedrive offers a comprehensive sales platform where you can find both basic and advanced software solutions via which you can create a robust sales pipeline. With Pipedrive, you’ll get access to custom fields, a drag-and-drop interface that’s great for beginners, an intuitive design that is also beginner-friendly, and a mobile app. You’ll also get subscription and customer tracking, a lead generation chatbot, contact management, automation of almost every step of your sales process, visual reports, pipeline metrics, custom dashboards, email and communication tracking, internal chat integration, task management, invoice and billing, dedicated lead distribution software, qualification features, customer relationship management, and advanced security features. The CRM’s sales pipeline and deals software also allows you to visualize your sales process, as well as add deals, values, win probability, and expected closed date, and organize and track your deals by pipeline stages. What’s more, you can customize the stages and adapt them to your process, create team pipelines, and filter results.

Pipedrive allows you to add custom fields to your reports and track whichever variables you deem important for your business. You can also set goals and share your reports with your employees via your CRM dashboard.

Email Software: Email marketing is quite effective in driving sales and generating new leads. What’s best is that you can customize your emails with fonts, gifs, pictures, social media links, and more.

Pipedrive’s email analytics offer real-time reporting on metrics like open rates, click rates, click-through rates, and total/unique clicks.

Project Management Software: This is something I haven’t seen in a lot of CRMs, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that Pipedrive has specialized project management software called “Projects.” With “Projects,” you’ll get a built-in task manager, collaboration tools, a project scheduling functionality, real-time progress monitoring, and project templates. Also, you’ll be able to create customizable project boards and data fields and activities, tasks, and subtasks. Quick file sharing is another great feature you’ll get, along with a drag-and-drop dashboard and task automation.

Lead Generation Software: LeadBooster is a new addition to the list of Pipedrive features, and it allows you to create a customizable chatbot that will capture the leads for you. You can set up preprogrammed questions on your chatbot, automate repetitive tasks, and alert employees if they’ve missed a step in your process. Moreover, LeadBooster allows you to move contacts from one step to another by simply dragging and dropping them, which makes the whole lead generation process super simple. The LeadBooster add-on also comes with live chat and functionalities like sourcing quality leads from a vast database, embedding and sharing web forms, scheduling meetings, automatically assigning new sales leads, importing spreadsheets, creating reports and insights, pairing your chatbot with your live chat, and setting goals.

LeadBooster is a paid add-on that you’ll have to buy separately from your Pipedrive plan.

Website Visitor Tracking: Web Visitors, another Pipedrive add-on, is a tool that allows you to see who is browsing your website right from your CRM dashboard. It also allows you to see how people found your website to begin with, as well as what they visit most and what they engage with. Also, with it, you’ll be able to identify already interested leads, uncover relevant contact persons, discover what your leads want, automatically rank leads based on customer web activity, and more.

SmartDocs: SmartDocs is an add-on that allows you to centralize your entire documentation process. With it, you can send trackable quotes, proposals, and contracts right from your Pipedrive dashboard. Also, you will get notified when a customer opens the documents you send, and you can request e-signatures from them to close deals faster. But that’s not all. Other tasks that you can do with SmartDocs include auto-fill documents with data from your Pipedrive dashboard, follow up at the right time, share documents and templates with employees, close deals with e-signatures, take off the Pipedrive logo from your documents, shared PDF files, and create quote tables. Moreover, you’ll be able to integrate with Google Drive, OneDrive, DocuSign, and Google Shields/Google Slides.

SmartDocs is included for free in Pipedrive’s Professional, Power, and Enterprise plans, while users who have the Essential or Advanced plan must purchase it separately.

Customization

I’ve used Pipedrive for quite a long time, and I can say that the customization features that it offers are pretty great. Namely, I was able to customize my pipeline stages, add custom fields so that my CRM contains all the stages in my sales process, and use multiple currencies, too. But that’s not all.

Pipedrive also allows users to customize their dashboards through an open API, which you’ll either need to know how to code to do so or hire a developer. You can also customize webhooks and truly make this CRM your own.

Integration

I’ve already mentioned a couple of Pipedrive’s add-ons, but trust me when I say that there are many more you can use and add to your CRM. More specifically, more than 400 apps are available to you there.

You can do that easily by browsing Pipedrive’s marketplace, getting the app you want, and adding it to your system with one click. The marketplace also has a search bar where you can enter a keyword and find the app you need quickly.
