Before we get into all the CRM features that HubSpot offers, it is my duty to tell you that this tool also allows you to create your own websites and host them in one place. We won’t be covering these features in this review as they’re not strictly related to CRM. Now, with that out of the way, let’s dig into HubSpot!

Features

I thought long and hard about how I could present HubSpot’s features as clearly as possible, and I decided to give each major feature a section of its own. So, the features are as follows:

Marketing Hub: HubSpot’s marketing hub has two primary goals: to help you attract customers and convert them. With the marketing hub, you’ll get all the necessary tools under one roof and then some. Namely, you’ll get the ability to connect with leads via email, forms, and landing pages, contact management, campaign management, robust automation tools, easy-to-use reporting tools, a form builder, the ability to create targeted welcome messages, chat automation, built-in analytics, integration with your existing business apps, email marketing tools, calls-to-action, SEO features, adaptive testing possibilities, customer journey analytics, and advanced marketing reporting.

Some of the above-mentioned features are only available in higher-tier plans.

Sales Hub: Via HubSpot’s sales hub, I was truly able to see just how powerful this CRM is. More specifically, it offers comprehensive sales software, as well as sales engagement tools, deal management, reporting and analytics, payments, CPQ capabilities, coaching tools, lead management and prospecting, email templates, email tracking, sales automation, call tracking, AI tools for drafting prospecting emails and creating CTAs, playbooks, deal pipelines, quote software, conversation intelligence, forecasting, and more. It comes with conversational tools, a shared inbox, contact management, help desk automation, a knowledge base functionality, customer feedback, custom surveys, a customer portal, reporting tools, omnichannel messaging, live chat, VoIP calling, the ability to track customer details and interactions automatically, AI-powered coaching, playbooks, ticketing, service analytics, permissions, status, and availability management, SLAs, mobile inbox, automated customer service, and more.

CMS Hub: HubSpot’s CMS hub allows you to create and manage websites with an intuitive drag-and-drop editor. Here, you can create engaging content for your customers that will be readable across a wide range of devices. Also, you’ll get features like hosting, themes, dynamic content, a drag-and-drop website builder, fully-integrated CRM, custom domain connection, a blog maker, SEO recommendations, the ability to use GitHub for website development and version control, code alerts, 24/7 monitoring & threat detection, CDN and custom CDN configuration, a standard SSL certificate, site performance monitoring, website traffic analytics, reverse proxy configuration, multi-language content creation, and more.

The free edition comes with website pages, a blog, basic SEO recommendations, managed cloud hosting, a CRM database, the ability to connect a custom domain, and website traffic analytics.

Operations Hub: HubSpot’s operations hub allows you to have a unified view of every single customer interaction, which, in turn, helps you boost your customers’ experience significantly. You’ll be able to do that thanks to features like programmable automation, data sync and data curation, data quality tools, team management and permissions, datasets, snowflake data share, and a custom report builder.

If you get the free HubSpot plan, you’ll get the following operations features – two-way data sync, default field mappings, historical sync, and access to all third-party integrations.

Commerce Hub: The commerce hub is a great tool for streamlining your opportunity-to-revenue process and allows you to get paid faster with revenue tools. Also, you can use it to automate billing, create custom reports on revenue and customer growth, and connect payments to your accounting tools.

The commerce hub functions on a pay-as-you-go basis with no additional monthly fees.

Customization

I’d be lying if I told you that HubSpot couldn’t use some more customization options. It’s not the best when it comes to this, but it still offers some freedom, so it’s not too shabby.

More specifically, HubSpot allows you to customize your CRM dashboard by adding the default modules and removing the ones you don’t need, as well as modifying the middle area of your dashboard where you do your work. In addition, you can create custom reports and user permissions.

Integration

Now, this is where HubSpot truly shines (except for the part where it offers a great all-in-one CRM platform, of course). Namely, HubSpot has an app marketplace where you can find over 1,400 apps and add them to your CRM with ease. In the marketplace, you can find apps for the following categories:

Ease of Use

Even though HubSpot offers a ton of features that might seem daunting, using them all and integrating them into one robust CRM platform is easier than you think. That’s mostly due to HubSpot’s intuitive dashboard, which is super easy to navigate.

Everything you need is there in one place, and you can find all the tools, features, reports, and whatever else you need via the menus. Also, adding third-party apps is simple, as all it takes is to download the app you want and then add it to your CRM system via the dashboard.

Customer Support

The customer support you’ll get from HubSpot depends on the plan you choose. Namely, the free edition doesn’t come with customer support, whereas the paid ones do. Thus, if you get a premium plan, you’ll get 24/7 customer support via live chat, phone, and email.

Regardless of whether you choose a free or paid plan, you’ll get access to all of HubSpot’s written resources, such as blogs, ebooks, guides, courses, and more.

Pricing

The free HubSpot edition comes with a wide range of marketing, sales, service, CMS, operations, and commerce tools and allows you to generate and email new leads, as well as track your success.

Flexible Pricing: It’s true that HubSpot’s plans can get expensive, but if you bundle your services, you’ll get everything you need at a competitive price. Also, what I like a lot about HubSpot is that it allows you to create a custom CRM solution that only has the tools you need.
HubSpot AI: HubSpot offers an AI website generator, content writer, social caption generator, email writer, meta description generator, blog writer, sales forecasts, automatic workflow description, conversation summary generation, and more.

Who Is HubSpot Best For?

HubSpot is best for businesses that use many different apps in their workflows and processes. So, if you’re looking for a CRM that you can integrate with all your tools and apps, HubSpot is the best solution for you.

However, HubSpot is also great for those who are just starting out with customer relationship management and need a solution that won’t cost them a dime but will still provide them with robust services.

Conclusion

HubSpot might be on the more expensive side, but the price is no match for all the advanced tools and features that the platform offers.
